Foster Care Housing
At Hope Harbor, we provide Christian foster families with rent-free, supportive, comfortable housing options within our vibrant and compassionate community. Our homes are designed to meet the needs of families fostering children, offering spacious accommodations, modern amenities, and a welcoming environment rooted in faith.
Chapman Cottage & Mabee Cottage
- Size and Features: Identical 8-bedroom, 7-bathroom homes with plenty of space for larger families.
- Living Areas: Includes a great room, a smaller living room or office, a large pantry, and a well-equipped kitchen for family meals.
- Laundry: Dual washer and dryers to handle the needs of a busy household.
- Additional Amenities: 2-car garage, storm shelter, and a basketball court.
- Furniture: Fully furnished if needed.
- Pet-Friendly: Pets are welcome; some restrictions may apply.
Stumpff Cottage
This home is now a duplex, offering two unique housing options:

Larger Side:
- 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, ideal for fostering larger sibling groups or multiple children.
- Features a large kitchen, dining room, dual laundry room, and good-sized pantry.
- Includes a carport and shared access to the storm shelter.

Smaller Side:
- 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, perfect for individuals or couples fostering one child at a time.
- Includes a storage area, kitchen, and dining space, offering a cozy yet functional living environment.
- Shared access to the storm shelter and the basketball court.

Requirements to Join
To be part of the Hope Harbor foster care community, families must:
- Be a Christian Family: Families must agree to our Statement of Faith and uphold its principles in their daily lives.
- Commit to Two Year: Families are required to commit to living on campus for at least one year.
- Participate in Community: Attend our Wednesday Night Dinner and Devotional at least a few times a month, fostering a sense of connection and spiritual growth.
- Obtain Licensing: Foster families must obtain their foster care license through the agency of their choice.
- Maintain Foster Placements: Families must foster at least 3-4 children at a time, with a maximum of 5, except for the smaller unit in Stumpff Cottage, which is designed for fostering one child at a time.
- Employment: One member of the couple must have stable employment, either remotely or in town. On-campus employment opportunities may also be available for individuals who meet our current needs.
